Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Selsey Bill and Chichester Harbour are to the west, convenient for escaping to little yachting centres and a super choice for overseas visitors with good travel connections by road (the M5 Motorway runs right across Sussex), rail from all parts of Britain and air travel through Bristol Airport.

Each year sees the International Birdman Competition with contestants attempting to fly off from the 1,000 feet long Bognor Regis Pier!

Horse racing enthusiasts will want to visit the race courses of Fontwell or Goodwood. Enjoy the variety of links and fine golf courses. Of course there are exciting Christmas and New Year festivities. Throughout the summer, the children will love a round of crazy golf. The preserved paddlesteamer Waverley and the Balmoral pay annual visits all along the coast and offer day trips further afield.
